Whether related to a specific facility project or overall collection of workplace satisfaction information, facility managers and planners increasingly are tasked with providing metrics to validate programming choices, workplace function, employee satisfaction, and critically, project budgets. This session demystifies workplace assessment and provides a workable structure for collecting data, interpreting results, and most importantly, leveraging that information to garner support for successful space evolution. The session will cover various assessment methodologies and when to utilize each, data collection integrity, suggested avenues of inquiry, and application duration. Information will be supported by case studies, real data, and actual project results. Instructional format will be in a classroom presentation with emphasis on specific examples followed by a question and answer period. The goal of the session is to educate and enable participants to conduct useful project/workplace assessments to produce rich data and positively impact the work environment.
