Organizations are changing their strategy. The once vaunted goal of efficiency has been brushed aside for workplace models and working styles that better facilitate collaboration, resiliency, and can adapt on the fly to external changes.
In this educational session we will take a high-level overview of this great shift and offer advice to FMs like you who are already in the thralls of it. Taking a tech-centric approach, speakers will touch on the must-have technologies for FMs to become the architects of this transition to hybrid workplaces and working models. Facilities represent a large part of any organization’s assets – whether small or large, incorporated or unincorporated, public or private, profit or not-4-profit, domestic or international. There are many significant costs, risks and opportunities associated with owning and leasing facilities. Facility Managers need to understand the principles and practices of real estate and how these contribute to achieving the core business strategies of the demand organization.
With this one-day, instructor-led course, you will review the interface between real estate decisions, facility management functions and the ability of the demand organization to achieve its goals. Facility managers will learn how to develop and implement a real estate strategy that includes methods to access, acquire, manage and dispose of physical assets.
Registration in the course includes access to IFMA's Real Estate Course study material online. Classroom courses allow you to ask essential questions and discuss real-world examples. Students must complete the final assessment online to complete the course and receive the certificate of completion and digital badge.
Students will receive complimentary refreshments in the morning and an afternoon break with refreshments and snack. Students are responsible for finding their own lunch during the lunch break.
