5.10 Understanding Digital Drive: Findings from IFMA and JLL’s IoT Research

This presentation will unveil the findings from JLL and IFMA’s latest collaboration to explore what the Internet of Things (IoT) means for the facilities management (FM) field and discuss how FM professionals can navigate this new era of Digital Drive. The session will begin with a discussion of how facility managers currently perceive the IoT, supported by the latest survey results and focus group data. Special attention will be given to the following topics: • Core competencies that facility managers need to master in order to capitalize on IoT opportunities • Barriers and challenges that FM professionals face when integrating IoT solutions • The skills and resources that they can leverage to overcome these stumbling blocks Attendees will hear from both IoT subject matter experts and FM practitioners, and should come prepared to share their own experiences and perceptions of the IoT as part of the discussion.
